BBQ Life Terms and Conditions
Last updated: [insert date]
You probably are not reading this page cover to cover, but if you are, welcome to our Terms and Conditions.
When you use our website or place an order with us, you do so on the basis of these terms. They explain how we sell our products, how delivery and returns work, and what both of us can expect.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not place an order through our website. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

We operate the website through which you are ordering.
2. Your status
By placing an order through our website, you confirm that:
- you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract; and
- you are at least 18 years old.
3. How the contract is formed between you and us
After placing an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. This does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order is an offer to buy from us.
A contract between you and us is only formed when we accept your order and confirm this to you, usually by email.
If we are unable to accept your order, we will let you know and, if payment has already been taken, we will refund you.
We may decline an order for reasons including:
- the product is unavailable;
- there is an error in the product description or price;
- we cannot obtain payment authorisation;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse;
- delivery to your address is unavailable.
4. Product descriptions and images
We take care to present our products as accurately as possible. However:
- colours may vary depending on your device and screen settings;
- dimensions, finishes and appearance may vary slightly;
- product photography and lifestyle imagery are for illustration only unless stated otherwise.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.
5. Availability and delivery
We aim to deliver your order within the timeframe stated on the website or in your order confirmation, but all delivery dates are estimates unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing.
We currently deliver only to the areas shown on our website at checkout.
For larger or heavier products, including kamado BBQs, delivery may be made by pallet, kerbside or threshold delivery unless we expressly agree otherwise. This means:
- the product may be delivered to the entrance of your property or another accessible delivery point;
- the driver may not be able to move the product through your property, over steps, gravel, slopes or other difficult surfaces;
- the driver may not unpack or assemble the product unless this has been booked separately.
Please inspect your order on arrival and let us know as soon as possible if anything appears damaged, incomplete or incorrect.
6. Risk and title
The goods become your responsibility once they have been delivered to you, or to a person identified by you to receive them.
Ownership of the goods passes to you only when we have received payment in full, including any applicable delivery charges. For consumer orders, the risk in the goods generally remains with us until delivery takes place.
7. Price and payment
All prices on our website are shown in Pounds Sterling (£).
Unless stated otherwise, prices include VAT where applicable.
Delivery charges, if any, will be shown at checkout before you place your order.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders already accepted.
It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some products may be incorrectly priced. If that happens, we are not obliged to supply the product at the incorrect price and may contact you to confirm whether you still wish to proceed, or cancel the order and refund you.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
8. Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer and buy goods from us online, you usually have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason, subject to certain exceptions.
If you cancel within that period, you then usually have another 14 days to return the goods to us. Where the legal cancellation right applies, we will refund you in line with the law. This generally includes the basic standard outbound delivery charge, but not any upgrade from standard delivery, and we may require you to pay the return cost if we told you this in advance.
Our separate Return and Refund Policy also explains our additional 30-day return policy, including when return shipping, collection charges or deductions may apply.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Returns and refunds
If you have changed your mind, please see our Return and Refund Policy.
In summary:
- eligible items may be returned within our published return window;
- goods must be unused, complete, in their original packaging and in resaleable condition unless the return relates to a fault;
- non-faulty returns may be subject to return shipping or collection charges;
- larger items may be subject to a collection charge;
- bespoke, personalised, made-to-order or special-order items may not be cancelled or returned unless faulty or otherwise required by law.
If you believe your item is faulty or damaged, please do not send it back without contacting us first. Please email info@bbqlife.co.uk with your order details, photographs and a short description of the issue.
10. Warranty
Certain products sold by BBQ Life come with a product warranty. Full details are set out in our Warranty Policy.
Our warranty is offered in addition to your legal rights and does not affect your statutory rights.
11. Our liability to consumers
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or negligence.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of your statutory consumer rights;
- defective products where liability cannot be excluded by law.
We supply products for domestic and private use. We are not liable for business losses such as loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business or business interruption if you use the goods for commercial purposes.
12. Our liability to businesses
If you are purchasing from us in the course of business, our liability to you shall be limited to the price paid for the relevant goods, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
We will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any matter which cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Import duties and export
If you order goods for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties, taxes and other charges once they reach the destination country. You are responsible for these charges unless we expressly agree otherwise.
You are also responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of the destination country.

We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using our website, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
15. Intellectual property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, product descriptions, photographs, videos and design elements, belongs to us or our licensors.
You may use the website for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, copy, scrape, distribute or otherwise use any content from the website without our prior written consent.
16. Third-party links and tools
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party tools and services.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of any third-party website or service. If you use them, you do so at your own risk.
17. Written communications
When you use our website or place an order with us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically, including by email.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

19. Transfer of rights and obligations
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights.
You may only transfer your rights or obligations under these terms with our prior written consent.
20. Events outside our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this results from events outside our reasonable control.
This includes, for example:
- severe weather;
- flood;
- fire;
- pandemic or epidemic;
- war or civil unrest;
- transport disruption;
- telecommunications failure;
- supply shortages;
- government action.
If this happens, we will try to minimise the effect and resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.
21. Waiver
If we delay or do not enforce any of our rights under these terms, that does not mean we have waived those rights.
22. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force and effect.
23. Entire agreement
These terms, together with any policy expressly referred to in them, set out the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the website and your purchase of goods from us.
24. Our right to vary these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time.
The terms that apply to your order will normally be those in force at the time you place that order, unless we are required to make changes by law or regulatory requirement.
25. Third-party rights
No person who is not a party to these terms shall have any right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
26. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of your home jurisdiction if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
If you are a business, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
